Hello all! My name is Rachel Harris & I am a 1st grade teacher at DSES. This will be my second year teaching at DSES as well as my second year teaching 1st grade. I am originally from Suwanee, GA which is about 30 minutes north in Gwinnett County. I went to Georgia State University; graduating with an Early Childhood Education degree and an endorsement to teach ESOL.

Fun things to know about me:

• I have a cat named Hank & he runs my apartment. He is the boss.

                                                         

• I love dark chocolate and pretzels...yum.

• My favorite thing to do is read. Nothing challenges me more!

• I am very active and my classroom is similar. We are always up & moving!

• I am not the best dancer in the world, but you will always see me dancing regardless.

• I told my mom I wanted to be a teacher when I was 6 years old...it is my calling! I love it!
