Dunwoody Springs, Novelis and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are excited for the launch of Cans for Kids’ Wishes at Dunwoody Springs! Novelis Aluminum company has partnered up with Georgia’s Make a Wish Foundation to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses. Their program will write our school a check for the same amount of money that they make from the aluminum cans our school recycles! The money that they make from the aluminum cans then gets donated to the children of the Make a Wish Foundation!
Did you know that in the United states 50 BILLION cans went to the landfill last year? Let’s stop the waste, let’s recycle!
■ What is it?
§ A program that allows students like you to take an active part in recycling, while bringing joy to children who are sick!
■ How can you help?
§ Don't throw your cans in the trash… SAVE THEM!
§ Bring your cans to school and recycle them!
■ Why should you help?
§ To help save the planet by doing your part to keep it clean.
§ To help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The Aluminum can recycling bin is located at the front entrance by the pink and purple clothing drop off box. This is a community wide effort, so please do your part in bringing awareness to your neighbors, friends, and family, so they can be a part of this special program too!
